Madeira Bright Star Hotel

The hotel is comfortable, quiet, and located in a nice neighbourhood with restaurants nearby. Distance to the center of Funchal is 20 minutes on foot along the seafront which is very reasonable and a nice walk. Breakfast is great ! But the best about this hotel is the staff, they are very obliging, helpful and always have a kind work for their guests. The only minor issue is the absence of car park. I recommed this hotel, it is good value for money and we had a very pleasant stay there.

This hotel is not conspicuous by the sympathy it inspires... however, the room is good, bedding ok, nice balcony, good location. But breakfast very disappointing in terms of choice and quality of products. There’s even a sign that says if you take food outside, you’ll be charged. And besides the staff clearly shows you the poster in a threatening tone, in case you haven’t seen it... no spa, parking for 2 cars only. But most importantly... only one lady smiles at you. No “star” for this welcome, that’s a certainty! The stars are shining but when you leave this hotel.

Small clean and friendly hotel with 18 rooms. Perfect room and perfect bathroom. Suitable balcony with sea side view and sunny west side. Breakfast very good. Close to multiple restaurants and 1km from the center. Very welcome. Attention they only have 3 private parking spaces.
