Mercure Porto Gaia Hotel

Do not stay here. It states there's aircon but no they do not have aircon, only some sort of air circulating system. Discovered on calling reception to ask how to lower temperature as it was too warm for us. Absolutely furious as we would never have booked here if we knew. This is blatant misrepresentation and basically a con job by a known brand. There a heatwave on and we would never have been here if we knew. How does this hotel get it's star rating? In Asia you have yo provide certain amenities to get stars while here it's obviously buyer beware! DO NOT STAY HERE unless you're okay to sweat all night and be uncomfortable. The location is anyway weird.

This was my 2nd stay at this hotel, and I will gladly come back. The rooms are spacious, quiet and comfortable. The team is professional and welcoming. Right next door is the (beautiful) Solinca gym, with swimming pool, jacuzi and sauna, and being a guest of the hotel allows you to access it for €10 instead of 20...

We stayed one night before getting back on our plane. The hotel is conveniently located next to the highway and a large shopping center. Parking is free. We enjoyed all the All advantages: upgrade to a privileged room, good drinks and little attention in the room. The room was clean, spacious, modern and comfortable. We had seen the ocean in the distance. She was quiet. Everything was perfect especially for 65 euros a night.
