Agua Hotels Douro Scala

The worst experience I've ever had in a hotel. It is unbelievable how such an establishment continues to operate under these conditions. The lack of professionalism and responsibility on the part of the management was evident from beginning to end. Faced with the problems that arose, there was no interest in resolving the situation, taking responsibilities or showing respect for the guests. The conditions of the hotel have been very low from what is announced, and the feeling is of total sloth and poor management. Rather than seeking to improve the customer experience, the management seems to completely ignore the complaints and act with unacceptable indifference. I paid for a service I didn’t get and left deeply disappointed. I do not recommend this hotel to anyone. There are definitely much better options where customers are treated with the respect and consideration they deserve.

Beautiful view over the Douro , service of excellence with a glass of Port welcome wine that always looks good for the guest , spa I think could be better indoor pool very cold , breakfast very good

Stayed here with a tour. Very impressed with the room. Only problem was the hairdryer which you had to be a contortionist to reach as it was under the sink! Corridors were dark and disorienting. Confusing to find way around as the new part of the hotel seemed to just be tacked onto older building. Not keen on having to go outside from dining room to get up via ancient stone staircase to reception. Also why put a kettle and cup in the room if no coffee or tea provided? Simple stuff but welcoming. Hotel is set in a beautiful spot but having to reverse a coach halfway up a hillside was a bit daunting.
