Caro Parc

We had a fantastic stay at Hotel Caro for a birthday trip and would happily return. Location • Excellent location, only a 20-minute taxi ride from the airport. Uber cost around £10–12 and was very easy to book through the app (the hotel shuttle was around £36). • Peaceful and quiet surroundings. • Around a 10–20 minute walk to a lively area with supermarkets, cafés and restaurants. • Just a 5-minute walk from Promenada Mall. • Easy to get around using the Metro or on foot. • Approximately a 30–40 minute walk into central Bucharest and the main tourist attractions. Service The staff were incredibly friendly and welcoming, and check-in was smooth and efficient. We had booked a Premium Room and were delighted to be upgraded, which was a lovely surprise. As we were celebrating my partner's birthday, the team really went above and beyond to make the occasion special. They wished him a happy birthday and added thoughtful touches which were very much appreciated. Their kindness and attention to detail made our stay feel extra special and we are truly grateful for the effort they made. Breakfast A good selection with attentive staff and excellent coffee, although there are only two coffee machines so they can become busy at peak times. Fresh eggs, bread, pastries and cereals were all available, though a wider variety of fresh fruit would have been nice. Wine Bar & Restaurants The wine bar was fantastic, offering premium-quality food at very reasonable prices. The Italian dishes were exceptional - particularly the gnocchi, pizza and pasta. The terrace restaurant was also excellent, with fast service and delicious food. Spa & Gym The gym had a great selection of equipment. The large swimming pool, two saunas and steam room were all excellent. A few things to note: • There is no water machine, so bring your own water. • Pool towels are provided, but they are quite small, so you may prefer to bring your own. • The changing rooms are spacious and well maintained. • Hairdryers and straighteners are available in the women's changing room. Overall, Hotel Caro offered excellent value for money, fantastic facilities and genuinely outstanding customer service. The staff's warmth and the extra effort they made for my partner's birthday made this a memorable stay, and we would highly recommend it to anyone visiting Bucharest.

Great experience - poorly old building with modern renovation - lovely spa area and great rooms. Could only stay one night due to plans but would definitely return - a very comfortable stay. Outside city but easily accessible and relatively close to airport.

This hotel is a complete joke. The rooms were dirty, and the staff were unfriendly and unhelpful throughout our stay. The pool situation was particularly outrageous. Guests are required to purchase a swim cap just to enter — fine, we complied. But then it turned out that part of the pool designated for younger children was off-limits because some self-important trainer decided to run a class there and was throwing people out using vulgar language. He sent a 6-year-old child away to the 170 cm deep section. A SIX-YEAR-OLD. To deep water. This is not just poor service — it is irresponsible and potentially dangerous. We will never return, and I strongly advise others to look elsewhere.
