Highlights; the room smelled awful, there is no human being on duty being reached only by cellphone and then they are brusque and impatient; you need a working data connection to get into your room; there are no keys, only digital access so don't leave your room without your phone or a piece of paper; breakfast must be ordered in advance and there is no buffet; the places has very tall and steep stairs that are hard for older people or someone with luggage to climb. I am very suspicious of the good reviews. ---- The room, #26, had, to my amazement, a foul smell of old mop and mildew emanating from, apparently, from under the shower. It was late, I shut the door and went to bed but normally would have asked to change the room. Rugs are old and dirty. There was a hole in the bathroom wall covered with a piece of tape. Room was large with good climate control. King bed had a thick memory foam topper topped with plastic that woke me in the middle covered in sweat. Bedside lamps are useless for reading. However there was a much-welcome bedside usb charging port and 220v outlet. There was only one small window that cannot be opened, and yet it was still very noisy also with ambulances coming to the hospital nearby. You get into your room with a 5-digit code that they send you in a message, there is no key…so don’t leave your room without your phone. It’s a pain of a system. Calling manager for help is the only human presence in the hotel. it's not safe for a big place to have not one person on duty and no hotline or other phone to call if yours is broken. They said I’d have a kettle in my room but it was three huge flights down in the basement, by the time you get back upstairs your little cup of tea is cold. Breakfast only happens if you fill out a menu and get it down those big stairs before going to bed-They can’t be bothered to pick up the traditional door hangers. In fact they can’t be bothered to do much of anything, there’s no breakfast buffet, and no one on staff unless you call them on the phone. It’s too big a place to be unattended. If you call the guy on duty he is impatient and talks fast and there is no sense of welcome or support. He complains about having to do his job. The breakfast was good and ready on time but I prefer a buffet and an attendant. This wasn’t hospitable feeling, the place feels kind of sad and empty and less than clean but not in a way you can readily identify. Little bits of damage and neglect here and there but also pleasant touches. A very nice coffee maker, good sausage, free tea 24/7, pleasant towels and some of the sheets but also a stained coverlet and broken hinges on the cabinets. Not really a good visit and not a good value, I am very surprised by the other reviews. I do not recommend and the price is much too high.

Comfortable and relatively quiet room since traffic in the adjoining street is reduced at night. Automated check-in can surprise you if you have not activated the “data abroad” mode on your mobile because you would not have a code to access the Inn and, a fortiori, your room. Selling savings in staff costs as progress in customer service is a bold argument... Decent breakfast, shower tray that turns into a pedigree because of water drainage problems and hair dryer breakdown... but the balance remains generally positive...

A really great place to stay in Cluj, 2 minutes from Gradina Botanica and a few minutes away from the city center. The location offers a keyless and contactless experience. We were sent the codes for the main entrance and for the room by message. For breakfast there are several options you can fill in on a certain form available in the room, that you can then leave at the reception for the next day. Then, the next day, the breakfast is waiting with the room nr in the breakfast room/terrace. Great experience!
