Mercure Jeddah Al Hamra

tried many numbers unable to get connected to hotel reservation !!!! non of contact number is working , wch is updated on website

We arrived on April 12. And we had to stay until April 26. On the 12th we are charged only five days telling us that the hotel is full and the rest of the stay we should change rooms. Unfortunately since our arrival already owes three nights past, we are never cleaned in the room. I enclosed the photo of the bed it's after 4:00 and nothing is even made of clean towels. It's a disgrace from an establishment of the name.

I do not understand how Mercure can allow this hotel to be part of their chain. I specifically chose a Mercure in order to benefit from international standards. The service at reception was terrible. The Wi-Fi hardly worked and was very spotty (we had to use the one of the room next door because the one in our room didn't work). The TV didn't work. They use an Internet TV and because the WiFi was so poor, it didn't work. The room was outdated. Eco-friendliness is an unknown concept : they had small plastic bottles for shampoo, shower gel... instead of the big ones you now find in almost all international chains. Breakfast was nothing to write home about. And did I mention how unfriendly the reception was?
