Tala Private Game Reserve

Very disappointed with our stay at Tala Private Game Reserve (19–21 June). We booked the Presidential Suite to celebrate a birthday and completed all special requests in advance, including a birthday setup and cake. Unfortunately, none of the arrangements were honoured, service was poor, dinner was delayed by over an hour with no communication, and the birthday cake never arrived. For a premium suite and a special occasion, the experience fell far below expectations.

The Lodges were like a fairy tale in the middle of the forest, housted in a high ceiling thatched roof lodge we got that wow feeling that we are in Africa. Animals visited early morning springboks, iguanas, birds, monkeys, one kudu. We overnighted 2 nights 30.12 and 31.12 and we loved the restaurant at the Manor with the infinity pool. Just watching the animals grazing by the ponds from the pool is an incredible experience. Meeting giraffes and zebras in front of our car driving from the lodge to the restaurant is an unforgetable experience. The breakfast, lunch and dinner, all drinks were fabulous and the service team showed us kindness and professionalism. The Manager of the premises is so charming and knowledgeable having a great friendly, welcoming attitude. The Housekeeping team, Galley and road maintenance team, main reception, jeep safari drivers ( 2 hours drive from 12.00 to 14.00 on arrival day), they are all stars. We are so grateful to have experienced 3 lovely days in your company. Delicious food, tasty, great display and cleanliness are a big plus for attracting new clients and returning ones like us. We took a small weekend break to tala . (Family of 6,we had 2 chalets)Accommodation was poor, bathroom pipes leaked, leaving a horrible smell throughout the rooms. food was terrible, my son was served raw chicken. Staff at the restaurant were arrogant, housekeeping staff seem to have gotten away with a bracelet of mine. After leaving it was difficult to get ahold of them upon realising my bracelet is missing. A day later they still don’t have an answer as to who has taken my bracelet!!!!The only good thing was the game drive! We will never stay at this place again.
