My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful stay at The Vineyard Hotel recently. We stayed in the Mountain View room and even though it was winter, we had some lovely sunny days and had a gorgeous view of the mountain. The bed was super comfortable and very wide. The excellent team working at the Vineyard helped make our stay memorable and enjoyable. The breakfast is delicious and plentiful with loads of choices. A big must is to find the head gardener and ask him to show you all of the tortoises roaming around the beautiful gardens; one of the tortoises is reputed to be perhaps 200 years old! All in all I would highly recommend this lovely hotel, and a very big thank you to the wonderful, kind and happy staff.

**An Oasis in Cape Town — I Only Wish We Could Have Stayed Longer!** Due to an unexpected flight cancellation, we only had the opportunity to spend two nights at the Vineyard Hotel, but those two nights were absolutely wonderful and left us wishing we had much more time to enjoy this incredible property. The hotel grounds are simply stunning. The walking paths are extensive, beautifully maintained, and provide a peaceful escape right in the heart of Cape Town. One of the most charming and unexpected touches was the resident tortoises roaming the grounds—they added so much character and made our walks even more memorable. Our room was exceptionally spacious, beautifully designed, and incredibly comfortable. If your budget allows, I highly recommend splurging for a mountain-view room. Waking up to those breathtaking views is worth every penny. The interior design throughout the hotel strikes the perfect balance between elegance, comfort, and classic style. The bar was another highlight of our stay. The cocktails were expertly crafted, the atmosphere was sophisticated yet relaxed, and it was the perfect place to unwind after a day of exploring. And then there's the breakfast. I do not say this lightly: the included breakfast was life-changing. It is, without question, the best hotel breakfast I have ever experienced anywhere in the world. The selection was extraordinary, with an incredible variety of options catering to every taste and featuring dishes inspired by multiple cuisines. Every morning felt like a culinary experience in itself, and we found ourselves looking forward to breakfast as much as anything else on the itinerary. The Vineyard Hotel is beautiful, safe, thoughtfully designed, and offers exceptional value for the quality of the experience. We left already talking about when we could come back—and next time, we'll be staying much longer. I cannot recommend this hotel highly enough.

A rather beautiful hotel and it starts when you first pull up outside. Staff are very helpful and attentive. Beautiful architecture and spacious grounds with giant tortoises. Our room was large, garden views with table and chairs on small balcony. Good sized bathroom with shower and large bath. Soft towels and dressing gowns with slippers. Plenty of hanging space and ample storage. Tea and coffee in the room with kettle plus a coffee maker. Breakfast is extensive and there is everything you could want. Table service for cooked food of your choice. Great staff and very efficient. Evening meals can be taken at three places, Italian restaurant, the Square or the garden lounge, all provide very good food. Breakfast can also be taken in your room and room service is available at a charge. The hotel can organise taxis and have a full laundry service. I fully recommend this hotel for a beautiful stay, the staff are very helpful and no issue is too much. It is certainly worth the money you pay.
