Ansan Seowon Tourist Hotel

Have stayed at this hotel six times now, the first being back in 2009. At that time it had a fully functioning bar and restaurant which was very good. As the hotel is on the outskirts of Ansan this was very convenient for the western traveller. Now, unfortunately, probably due to lack of use the restaurant is now only open for breakfast and no bar service in the evening. Without support from my customer eating at the number of restaurants situated around the hotel was an experience, with a surprise most times! Rooms have been upgraded in the last couple of years and I found it very comfortable.

This is my third visit in this hotel. It is situated not in central city but still a lot of business foods and a nice park not faraway. The rooms are clean and very good personal. The breakfast is ok. Only one minus: on the internet site are pictures about gym but no gym inside, please take out the pictures from the internet site.

Stayed a few nights on a business trip in Ansan-Si where is an industrial area, one hour away from Incheon Airport. Frankly, there is not much expectation for this hotel since it is located off the city centre with no 5-star hotel in the area. First impression the room is small and clearly it needs a renovation to renew its 20 year-old design (see uploaded photo). The amenities are limited and it does not have clothes iron. I went to reception with the hope to borrow one but the staff told me to get the clothes ironed by laundry department with charges. What a joke! The room equipped with a fridge, a kettle with 2 bottles of water which are complementary and no coffee or teabag. That's it. The room that I stayed has a leaking ceiling at the toilet. The room that I stayed comes with breakfast and nothing worth mentioning as choices are limited. Of all the negative aspects of this hotel, the room is clean and location is great. There are a lot of food establishments within walking distance and a convenience store is just opposite of the hotel. Also, there are a couple rows of shops selling sports wear and winter clothing which can be reached within 15 minutes on foot.
