Suwon Pacific Hotel

We arrived at the Suwon Pacific Hotel on August 1st 2018 to find that the hotel was undergoing refurbishment. There was no one on the 24 hour Reception Desk, and when we tried calling the Hotel, the phone just rang on the desk in front of us. There were chairs, boxes, workman's tools and rubbish everywhere throughout the Reception area. The hotel was obviously not in operation. Thankfully hotels.com were very helpful and found us alternative accommodation.

Clean bed efficient but the over-all cleanliness of the room is not like the hotels of the same class found in South East Asian countries. Due to the abundance of cheap labor, hotels in SEA can afford many cleaners and therefore every square inch of the place is super clean. This cheap and affordable hotel lacks ambience and charm, bland, cold, melancholic. Breakfast is very basic, two choices: take it or leave it. One good point is that it is near a busy district with numerous restaurants and lively night life.

Plus point • Near the hotspot and walking distance all places need to go • Spacious room, with nice room amenities for business traveler • Reception on arrival was really helpful with his limited English, he was trying to help us to find the way in the neighborhood Minus point • The rom really dark and not really inviting • They cleaning really bad, only clean the room the first and second day , the third and fourth they let the room unclean and did not even change the towel and did not take the garbage away, complained a couple of times at the front office and they only laughed and said he will talk the manager and still did not change the towel , the same night I complained to hotel.com and decided to leave and book other hotel in Seoul • The bathroom has no curtain, so if you decided to book this hotel, be prepared! Will I recommend this hotel? Despite the good point, no absolutely not, for the same amount of the money you can get a better quality and clean hotel.
