Robero Hotel Jeju

Booked this hotel as my stopover before my friends join me. Was a no frills simple dated hotel. Checked in on your own though I find it pretty daunting, the staff had to come out in the end. Instructions not 100% fool proof nor fuss free, BUT the staff is pleasant and patient. Check out was also a breeze. Lobby is huge with a mini arcade for children. A trinket store - not entirely sure of its purpose other than filling the space. BUT nice try. Room is dated but pretty spacious. Toilet has no shower curtain nor divider between. wet and dry area. After shower, the whole toilet will be wet, so not very ideal for family with kids or elderly. Bed is comfy. Location isn't too touristy but right opposite the hotel there is a cultural park - Gwandeokjeong. I didn't visit as it was late afternoon when I arrived. Its about 10-15mins walk to the nearest Dongmun Traditional Market. A must visit when you are in Jeju. Touristy vibe but good to explore.

I chose this hotel for a couple of main reasons: - easy parking (in a lot next to hotel) - close to shopping and dining (underground shopping is right there, and it’s a few blocks to Black Pork Street and Dongmun market The hotel lived up to these expectations. Room was spacious, especially bigger bathroom than a lot of hotels that I’ve been at, but the key drawback was the room temperature. It was at 28 degrees and even though we set it much lower to try to reduce it, it was still too hot so we had to open window to cool down. Unfortunately no luggage rack but good nooks for them to keep them out of the way. There was a bit of a hiccup with the check in, which is all automated but I was able to connect to the reception via WhatsApp and they were able to come out of the office to assist. It was a very comfortable stay in a great location and convenient for parking.

8/11/2023 A well-established hotel. Due to an early flight the next day, I booked an annex building, so you have to be particularly careful when choosing a large booking time. The annex building is under renovation. It can also be recommended if you have an early flight. There is no air conditioning in the room that day. A fan was provided. Fortunately, the weather was quite cold in November. The room was small but well-lit. The bathroom easily got wet. When picking up a room in Korea, I am very persistent and must arrive at three o'clock before I can check in. This is the case in every room. The male waiter in this hotel has a very bad attitude. I called for someone at the front desk at 5:15 in the morning. No one responded, so I had to write After receiving the note, I left the hotel to change my card, checked out, and went out to call a taxi to the airport.
