SpringDale Golf & Resort

8 of us visited Jeju Island and stayed at Springdale for 4 nights. The accommodation is very simple with limited facilities. The rooms are geared towards Korean visitors. There are no real English TV stations and not much to do at night. Fortunately the wifi is good and free. The water in the showers is fairly cool even when the hot tap is 100% open. The beds are fairly firm. Its OK. But I would not recommend for non Koreans.

This Resort is 15 min. outside Waynesville, NC. The cabins are a bit rustic but very clean and comfortable. The fairway view townhouses are much better. They are newer and more modern with same high quality, and just as clean and comfortable. The golf course is interesting to play but plays longer than yardage would indicate. Greens are very good but not the fastest in the world. This year the fairway grass was a bit long. Lots of rain prevented proper mowing and weed control. This is not a four star resort. The price is extremely good with meals and golf included. 3 day, 2 night weekend package for less than $400 and that includes golf with your own cart to use for your stay. The ladies, we had none on this gathering, will enjoy town of Waynesville , or a 45 min drive to Asheville. If you are looking for a top notch resort look elsewhere. But if good golf, pleasant accommodations, good southern food, friendly and courteous staff, and a great reasonable price this place is five star. Our group has been coming for almost 20 summers and we will be coming back for many more.
