Hostel BB Hongdae Line

I have lived in Korea for three years and have never experienced anything as unprofessional as BB Line Hostel and Black Bear Cafe. First of all, there is nowhere to check in, only a cafe (which doesn't even open until 11am). When we arrived we asked if there was a lobby we could rest in and recharge our phones. There wasn't The girl working there begrudgingly let us sit in the cafe and charge our phones. After about 15 minutes, a man working there came over and rudely asked us to leave the (empty) cafe as we were the reason no customers had come it! I couldn't believe it! Next the girl couldn't find our booking for 10 minutes. Not our fault. Finally she found it. Check in was at 3pm, so we left to go around Seoul (didn't expect to check in early, we just wanted somewhere to dump our bags). We came back around 5:30pm and were told that the family room we booked (literally the name of the room) was actually beds in a female dormitory and I wouldn't be allowed to stay there. Apparently the description on in the Chinese version of the app we used to book was wrong. I don't know what went wrong, but not our fault at all! We showed them our phone screen with the booking. I don't know if it was the hostel's fault or the app's, but it wasn't ours. I don't know why we weren't told this initially at 11am when we told then we booked the family room. The man blamed the girl from earlier as she is Japanese and her English was bad. Again, not our fault. He then offered to 'help' us by upgrading us to a private room...and we pay the difference! How is that helping us? It was never our mistake. We told him we were unhappy and wanted a refund and went to look for another hostel. Firstly he told us we wouldn't be able to find a private room cheaper than BB Hostel. Not true. Kimchee Hostel was much cheaper. Secondly he told us he would help contact the website for our refund. He never did and we lost a lot of money for a room we never slept in (pre paid for 3 nights). Finally when I returned to the property to get my bags from storage (in an unlocked room) there was not one staff member in the cafe or laundry where our bags were stored! I had no way to contact the man I assume was the manager so just took my bags and left. Worst hostel experience in Korea or any country I've been. Avoid here.

only 10 minutes from Hongdae station exit 3 and near the public facilities (convenient store, cosmetic store and park). Wifi is very good, have a heat water and air conditioner. Room is also comfortable and secure with automatic lock and last but not least, Lee oppa is very helpfull

Too far away from the subway station. There are no staff at BB Line, so you have to go to another hostel for check-in so inconvenient when you have large luggage. There is no breakfast, not enough space to open my luggage. Even though the room is at first floor, the entrance still has stair not easy to carry luggage in. First floor also means more danger as for female dorm. No clean towel, bad hair dryer, noise, dirty. Bed is to small for normal people. Check out waste so much time. They just keep luggage in open space, and staff is often not around. Cheap but not worth it.
