A friend of ours booked this small apartment for us as we were in South Korea for his wedding and it was close to the wedding venue. We stayed for 6 nights in September 2014.
Although it is not really very central or convenient for sight seeing in Seoul, it was easy enough to get into the city via their underground metro system. It is only 2 blocks from Nonhyeon station (but you have to change trains at the Express Bus Terminal station to get to all the sights the city). It's down a busy back street, with a couple of 24 hour convenience stores and cafes (a French patisserie and coffee up the hill!).
It was very small, but you can easily fit your luggage in around the furniture and it is clean, with relatively good facilities. It was really handy having a washing machine in our room, but we were glad we brought our own clothesline! The staff are very friendly and helped us wherever they could. The open rooftop was also a plus at night instead of hanging out in our pokey rooms, but I don't think the permanent residents were very impressed with us using the communal space. The only downfalls were the extremely hard bed and that the shower had almost no pressure. Other than that, we really enjoyed our stay!

I actually stayed in October of 2014, but this only goes back 'til March 2015.
It was my second time going to Korea, my boyfriend then, now husband, booked it and actually stayed with me for the two weeks I was there.
I looked for what I wanted as a necessity for the two weeks, a washing machine/dryer all in one, and free wifi to contact home.
The view was nothing special one big window, I just saw another building, but knowing I was in Gangnam it wasn't a big deal.
I do love how convenient it was to be in reach of anything during the nighttime, and daytime.
There was a convenience store, a coffee shop, a Kimbab Heaven, a new samgyupsal place, and a small traditional market, just when you exit the hotel. There's other close restaurants around too.
The subway and buses aren't that far away either, couple of blocks and you're there.
The hotel cleaners are really nice, I think they knew what we were doing, and we were never able to get up in time for breakfast; never up early before the staff comes to clean. So they always rang the bell to make sure whether we were there or not, and took just only the trash if we were there.
There was a hotteok (Korean sweet pancakes) place couple blocks down, it was purple, not the traditional flour wheat kind. The purple hotteok is much more delicious than the traditional one sold on the street. I can't find another place with purple hotteok, except there.
