Ramada Hotel Seoul

We booked this hotel via hotels.com. We wanted a chill hotel, not swanky, just plain and cool for a touchdown in Seoul with our dog. We researched petfriendly hotels. We booked Ramada specially bc we are traveling with a small dog. We' ve booked and prepaid for us AND the dog. We ve been here 2 days and the maid has not been here once to clean. We asked why and they told us angrily: "you have a dog!!!!" - well we booked for a dog and they saw the dog when we arrived- this is such a weird and strange staff and hotel. Now they ve stopped screaming about the dog BUT Still we get no cleaning... Now the excuse is that the maid only works in the morning... Its so strange! Ramada could be a nice and chill hotel IF the staff could learn a little bit of English and some international manners. The room is not very clean and the service is beyond bad! It is a bit comical though with a non- tourist-friebdly staff, aggressive and ignorant. Embarrassing for Ramada though. We ll come back to Seoul at the end of July for a week but will ABSOLUTELY NOT stay at the Ramada eventhough its been comical to contemplate the misunderstandings and ignorance! What a shame and embarrassement hotel Ramada. European family booked from the 19 June to the 26 July in room 1311! Warning they do not speak English even if they say so. They are lying! It is however comical bc they really do not understand at all!!

Looks impressive from the outside, and the Reception and Restaurant also look good. The rooms are OK, they smell a little musty and are starting to look a little worn. The beds were comfy and we slept well. Didn't eat there, so can't comment on the food. Reception desk speaks a little English so communication was OK, but not great. Subway station entrance is right outside hotel so travelling anywhere in Seoul was a breeze. Ideally situated to walk around the sights in Gangnam such as SMTown and Coex Artium. Lots of shops and lots of places to eat.

We have chosen this hotel from among the accredited Wyndham hotels in Seoul. And it was a bad choice. The hotel is very old and outdated. Room is small and can hardly fit 3 adults in 2 single rooms. It was specified in our booking that occupants will be 3 pax but we had to call up Housekeeping to provide at least the towel for the 3rd person. They did not even offer to add a bed or mattress. Though it is understandable that it is almost autumn, the hotel air conditioning is turned off and only the heater is working. So we had a hard time getting sleep because it gets too warm in the room. It is just a consolation that the hotel is very near to the train station and the airport limousine stops infront of the hotel so commuting was not a problem. Good thing also that we did not pay for our accommodation because we used our Wyndham membership.
