Doulos Hotel

Firstly let me start with the room. The room is functional, clean, equipped with a fridge and a t.v which had plenty of stations both English and Korean. We had a little trouble with the air conditioning unit as it switched on and off randomly but apart from that there were no problems. We travelled as a pair of friends sharing a double bed, the room was small (however this is something I always expect in large cities) but fit our two very large suit cases. The breakfast had a good variety of cooked items and cereal so there would definitely be something for your taste. The location is great, not far at all from everything you want to see and do in Seoul so you can easily walk to any of the major sights and shopping places from here. Also Jongno station is just around the corner, from there you can really get anywhere you want if you don’t want to walk or to get to the further away places. Honestly though the best part about this hotel was the staff. Exceptional front of house who helped us book a tour, answered any questions at all about Korea that we had and would greet us everyday with genuine warmth after our day exploring the city. Fantastic room attendants, the lady on our floor was so wonderful and greeted and talked with us everyday, even though there was a language barrier she was so excited to see us every day, we will miss her a lot. When one of the staff working at the desk came to help us get in our taxi and waved to us as we left, I had genuine tears in my eyes. I will never forget this trip, truly the best staff I have ever met. I will definitely stay here again when I come back to Seoul. Thank you very much.

I stayed in this hotel for 5 days. It caters mostly to foreigners and business people. Rooms are rather small, but clean. Location very close to Metro and walking distance to many major tourist sights (palaces, old neighbourhoods, shopping). A bit tough to find at first because it's tucked away on a side street. Breakfast suitable. All in all, good value for location.

i came here together with my family. We stayed in two separate room and the room is not very big because it is the budget choice hotel. In the front door reception is very polite and the lobby is neat and clean. When we went to our room, i think the amenities is soso. The toliet seat is worn and have a bit bad smell. And the bathroom water pressure is not high enough. Since i and my husband stay one more night so we moved to others room in the last day. We felt the environment is better then the original room. In the other hand, the advantage for this hotel is quite near the metro station and you can walk to the main city by walk around 15 mins and easy to find the restaurant nearby. And the hotel is provided the normal breakfast everyday which is so convenience.
