New Chonji Hotel

I arrived around 12pm and observed that although the lobby had older interior, it was very clean. I was happy to be told I could check in early and be upgraded to their triple room on the 6th floor. As soon as I opened the door, I was so shocked. Never ever have I experienced a dirty room. The carpet was stained with various black spots. There was black mold on the walls and bathroom. The bathtub was worn out and so was the furniture (instead of buying a new lamp shade, they taped it up). The price and location of the hotel is very attractive. However, please DO NOT stay at this hotel. PLEASE! Find other options or spend a little bit more for a more comfortable and clean room in Seoul. It was the worst hotel I have ever stayed in my whole life.

This hotel was included part of the package tour which was around 120 USD for three nights with plane ticket included. To be honest, if I shall book this hotel by myself I would not do it due to these reasons: - The environment: Comparing to the place I stayed on my first visit to Seoul, it was terribly sad, probably it may be because we arrive at the hotel around 1 am. But, I felt this hotel did not have good vibes, however the staff was nice. - The room: The bed was alright, but the amenities were kind of like decent. The TV was not flat, but coincidentally when I turned it on The Simpsons (in English with Korean subtitles) were there, so that made my night. I will complement the room with the cleanliness of the bathroom. - The location: As it is just minutes close to the Dongdaemun History & Culture Park station, the hotel itself was difficult to find since it was located in a back road. Overall, a decent stay. But, it can't beat the stay at the previous place. TIP: You can borrow a universal adapter free of change from the front desk.

Located at Dongdaemun History & Culture station (Purple Line) exit 7 Hotel itself situated at Euljiro 38 gil (take 2nd right alley after you out DDM exit7 then crossed small alley junction the hotel appears on your left handside) These area are quiet enuf for your sleep not bustling busy as Myeongdong Plus there are 3 subway interchange line (green/blue/purple) easy to choose attraction place to go;(no need to do oftenly line change) there are one 7eleven before reach hotel alley (on exit6 opposite side) and the other one GS25 (Korean grocery store brand) (walk passed hotel take 2nd left heading direction North to main Euljiro road near police station) For shopping area just 15-20 mins walk to Dongdaemun complex mall area (walk north direction pass hotel take right at main road then pass 3rd or 4th alley on ur right hand crossed main road opposite side you will see. Room facility; Big room space/free mineral water 2 bottles per day /Daily towel change/ shampoo-body cream provided (No body soap gel)/ free toothbrushes-tooth paste/ local around 70 TV channel / sitting area 2chairs 1 small table/ Hairdryer / slipper/ bathrob/ shower area (no bathtub) manual toilet (not digital button press same as Japan country)/ mini fridge/ free (Slow often disconnectivity wifi) in room/ no window check out time at noon sharp.downstair has Karaoke room service Everything seems good to me no complain except though they do daily room made cleaning for me; Still i founded a couple pair of hairs on my bedsheet (wondered that they didnt change for whole period 5 days of my stay or those hairs come from their dirty washing machine). Service: Reception helpful and friendly but They replied Korean language mostly and rather be quiet nodded understand my English language requested instead of conversate back in return. All in all; Not bad selection .these are one of good 3stars hotel service choice in Seoul for 41000KRW / 1200 THB /or 38 USA USD dollar per night rate.
