Nine Tree

This is my 2nd time in Korea, and this hotel is my first time to stay, because it is in the center of Minghua, so her reception is on the 3rd floor, I'm on the lunch plane so it's been slow, but the check-in lady is really polite and knows that I'm celebrating my husband's birthday, so go to give us a special bag of snacks and drinks, really happy and give us a surprise, thank you! Especially Miss Joy of the front desk was patient and polite, so next time will come to stay.

We booked this for the majority of our trip and the price was good when we reserved, though it sold out later. The location really cannot be beat. You walk outside and you're in the middle of the most touristy part of Myeongdong, super close to anything you'd want to do with tons of options nearby. There's a convenience store around the corner, but realistically nearly everything is around the corner, and you're decently close to public transit if you want it. One nice touch is the luggage lockers you can use both before and after your stay, so you have somewhere to stash bags while the room gets ready, and there's a microwave and some coffee and water in that same area too. The rooms are modern and decent, spacious at least, though the layout was a bit strange. Ours was a triangle shape, so a chunk of the space wasn't really useful. The bathroom is separated from the main room by a curtain again, and the toilet has a glass door, but sound carries through if you care about that sort of thing. Our other gripe was an old, slightly musty AC smell. We opened the window to air it out, and it was nice to find a retractable screen there, but it's often too hot to leave the window open for long, so it ended up being a real compromise. Staff were friendly, and between the location and the value, it was a decent stay despite the few issues.

The location is convenient and Rosy who serve us is very friendly, polite and able to speak good english.
