Yim's House

This is our 3rd times here.. 2011, 2015, and now 2018. The owner, his son, and his brother very helpful.. Yim's house near Changdeokgung.. the room is clean and comfy. Me and my family love to stay here when we're in Seoul.

Me and my girlfriend went to Korea last Nov 20 to Nov 26, 2016. We thought of booking via AirBnB but one of my officemates recommended Yim's Haus, so we booked a room there. We were not able to locate the place immediately but eventually we did manage to find it. We met the owner Mr. Yim and he was very accommodating and nice. He showed us a choice of rooms to looked at first because there were two rooms available. The place is also across Changdeokgung palace. Mr Yim and his son was also very helpful in telling us how to go from and to a certain place. Overall, it was a awesome experience staying at the place.

Yim's House is also called Yim House. It's run by two brothers and the son of one of them. it is located in a quiet alley off the main road. There are one or two small lodgings nearby. The location is ideal for visiting three of the four main palaces in Seoul. One is five minutes walk away from Yim! The Insadong tourist shopping mini-village is close by. Many nice souvenirs, and some serious (not tourist) calligraphy and brushes. Good choice of Korean food. My room was super clean. Yim House is a small place, and the room was small. For one person it is enough. For two people, you can have two twin beds. But the room may be cramped if there is a lot of luggage. Wifi and TV, a fridge is provided. The place is well maintained although not fancy. I was most impressed by the cleanliness of everything, especially the bathroom. Please note that my room (by choice) had a shower which (as in some European places) did not have a stall. The whole bathroom can get wet. A room with bath tub and shower is available in other rooms. I preferred the wet bathroom. You can hire their car to go back to Incheon Airport for around 70-75,000 Won. Good deal. Subways are nearby, about 10-15 minutes walk. From that you could switch to Seoul Station and transfer to the line which goes all the way to the airport.
