As all the reviews said, the best thing about Ever8 Serviced Residence is the staff, especially the front desk staff who were very courteous and welcoming. I can't emphasize enough how nice it is to be greeted by a friendly person when you arrive at the hotel in a foreign country after traveling for nearly 24 hours! Also, the location was perfect, near all the major universities, about 5 min walk to the subway station Ewha, great restaurant options and a large grocery store Emart near by. And it's not as touristy as Myeongdong or Itaewon. The facilities are modern and clean, and the housekeeping was reliable. The only downside is was the size of the room, the family twin, which was very small. The space would be fine for 2 people or single, but not enough space for a family with children. Other than that, we enjoyed our stay at the Ever8 Serviced Residence, and we probably would book 2 rooms next time.

The room was fine-clean, comfortable bed. Nice and quiet. But I’m posting this review to commend the friendly and helpful service from the front desk. My friend had made the reservation through Agoda, but inadvertently double booked two reservations, one of which was for a lengthier stay. She was scheduled to arrive the following day so wasn’t there to clear things up when I checked in. The manager at the front desk didn’t take my credit card, saying she’d wait to have my friend clear up the reservation so that we wouldn’t be overcharged. She also allowed us to change our existing reservation when we ended up having to leave sooner than we’d anticipated. We hadn’t found staff at other hotels in Seoul to be so accommodating, so her attitude and helpfulness was very much appreciated.

It was the second time that we stayed at Shinchon Ever8 Serviced Residence. The location is great, close to a metro station (Line No. 2 Ewha Women's Univ.) and multiple bus stops. Lots of local restaurants, bars and convenient stores are also nearby. As Korean, we had no trouble in using heater, temp control systems etc, but I think the hotel needs to provide detailed instructions for foreign guests. Guests may not know that you need to press a special button to get hot water for shower. Some receptionists were kinder than others, and unless you put a sign outside, cleaners do not come in. It worked fine for us as we do not need the room cleaned every day. Bathroom is still okay, but I see that it needs some maintenance and replacement of a few things there. Things are getting old and stained in some places. However, overall it's still functional and cleaner than most places. They provide sufficient towels as well.
