Hotel Skypark Myeongdong II

First of all, I must say that I was generally satisfied with my accommodation experience. Particularly, I like these issues: (1) Perfect location, which is close to Myaendeong shopping area, bus and metro stations, and restaurants. (2) Used towels are changed every day. (3) Hot water in the bathroom comes without any waiting. (4) In addition to the water bottles in the room, having a water dispenser in the hallway is a great idea. (5) The rooms are tidied and cleaned every day. (6) Free Wi-Fi service is available throughout the hotel, without interruption. (7) I really liked the fact that smoking is not allowed in the rooms and that there is a designated area outside for smoking. (8) Although the hotel is located in a very crowded area of ​​the city, there is no noise in the rooms. (9) Staff are very kind and helpful. However, I do not like these: (1) In a hotel with a large number of foreign guests, I would like to see olives, cheese and a sufficient amount of tomatoes at breakfast. (2) Unfortunately, artificial carpets spread across the room floors cause odour and create an unhealthy situation for allergy sufferers. (3) The elevator going to floors 11-14 is also used as a service elevator, which means you'll have to wait a long time. (4) They offer a discount on breakfast if you pay the day before. Perhaps they do this to prevent waste, but even if you're a hotel guest, not giving this discount unless you pay the day before seems pointless to me.

On my first trip to the charming South Korea, my family and I stayed at this hotel. The reception service was practical, fast and without bureaucracy. The apartments, although extremely clean, were quite compact. The bathrooms had refreshing and very fragrant amenities. The location is privileged, close to shops, subway, restaurants and the main tourist attractions of Seoul. The service was courteous and polite. I highly recommend the hotel and hope to return soon. I did not use the paid breakfast service, considering the high price.

I stayed at this hotel for one night due to its proximity to Myeongdong for a tour, but the experience was far from satisfactory. First, the parking fee was shockingly expensive, which felt unreasonable for guests already paying a premium to stay here. The room itself was no better – it felt more like an inn-level accommodation rather than a proper hotel. The furnishings were outdated, and the overall condition of the room was disappointing. To make matters worse, the bedding was extremely uncomfortable, with a stiff mattress and low-quality linens that made it hard to get a good night’s rest. I expected a much better experience considering the location and price, but unfortunately, this hotel failed to meet even the most basic expectations.
