Toyoko Inn Seoul Dongdaemun

Thank you for your help at Dongdaemun No.1. 　Due to an accident, I was unable to return to Japan, so I chose a business hotel because it was a Japanese hotel where I could talk in Japanese and it was likely to be a long stay. 　Honestly, I didn't expect the quality of this hotel at this price point. The rooms were neatly furnished and the tabletops were equipped with stand mirrors and humidifiers, which made me feel considered. 　Breakfast served to guests is served daily with home-cooked side dishes. They were all very, very good! 　The staff at the front desk were surprised to learn more fluent Japanese than I had imagined. Above all, I can't tell you how my manager, Mr. Kim, who knew what was going on, helped me by being considerate of me. 　I am grateful for the comfortable bed, delicious food, pleasant greetings and even more thoughtfulness of my personal circumstances. 　It's a warm, business hotel. I recommend it.

I based myself here for my first visit to Seoul and it was excellent. 100 metres to the Metro and many convenience stores nearby. Room was clean, there is a AC unit, fridge, safe and kettle and cup but you need to bring your own coffee and something to stir. The bathroom was fine for me but if you are anything above 5ft 6 or on the larger side, you might find it a bit cramped. The wifi worked great. Breakfast was ok, they had different Korean dishes every day so some days you might like it and some days you wont. However, one thing they do have everyday are bread, croissants and a toaster, as well as rice and congee. There is no restaurant at this hotel, I didn’t use it but there is a laundry room and vending machines for snacks and drinks. When I left I took the train to the airport but there is the airport bus too and the stop is outside the hotel. This might be handy if you have lots of luggage. I enjoyed my stay here and will stay here again.

I had a quick holidays in Seoul. It is not easy to find decent hotel at reasonable rate and I came across this hotel. The hotel is a few mins walk from the subway station and famous design plaza is close by. Overall, it is ok. Room: Compact. They have no wardrobe, so it gives more spaces. Amenities are minimal. The kettle is good for fixing own coffee. The shower temperature was bit hard to be controlled. Tends to be too hot. Facilities: Vending machine and laundry. No restaurant, but they give free breakfast. Service: Ok, not outstanding, average
