My wife and I stayed in a 2-story Duplex Presidential Suite Sea View room (Room 614) for 2 nights in early June.
The view was so fantastic from the second floor of the unit that we ordered room service for dinner both nights. I've never seen so many seagulls, so close, before
The only downsides were the challenge of lugging our luggage up to the second floor via the spiral staircase - I can see why others report leaving luggage on the first floor - and the seagulls flying around the top floor of the hotel tended to leave a mess on the balcony. It was somewhat cold during our stay, so I don't think we would have spent much time on the balcony even if it was clean.
We were driving a rental car, and found the underground parking at the hotel convenient. Most of the spaces are very narrow, so they've actually blocked out every other space in the garage as "no parking" so that guests can easily access their cars.
The breakfast buffet was great - they even had two different kinds of orange juice (one from Zaragoza) - and the room service for dinner was great too (though the food quality was only OK). On both nights, they brought up a bottle of wine in a separate trip right away, so we could enjoy a glass of wine, gazing out over the bay, while waiting for the food to arrive.
We didn't explore much in A Coruna while we were there, due both to the cold weather and the fact that we spent much of the day after our arrival in Santiago de Compostela, via a 30-minute train ride that we believe was more convenient than trying to drive to and park in Santiago. The hotel is not an easy walk from the train station, so we took a taxi both ways.
After arriving back at the A Coruna train station, we asked the taxi driver to take us on a detour to see a bit of Old Town and the northern section around the Tower of Hercules, so we did see a bit of A Coruna.

I popped for a room with a view and wasn't disappointed! Great view of the beach and water. (Even though it wasn't really beach season when we were there.)
Loved that I could open the window and hear the water too. But when the window was closed, it totally drowned out any sounds, ocean or street. The hotel was conveniently located to walk into the city center or along the water.
Also want to give a shout out to David and Maria. David was so helpful to us in understanding how to get into the parking garage. And he was so nice to make a reservation at one of the restaurants he recommended for dinner one night when we were too chicken to try ourselves. (Because our Spanish is bad. But really, most people spoke English, which was great, but we were embarrassed that we couldn't communicate better in their language.)
He also answered every single one of my husband's 1,000 questions about La Coruna and life there and gave us great tips of what to see, including nearby walkable places already on our list (like the Tower of Hercules) and ones not on our list (like the Parque de San Pedro y de Bens, which he recommended driving to).
We hit the park on our way out of town, then stopped at Combarro on our way to Vigo, which Maria recommended during checkout when we told her where we were headed.
Everyone was so friendly here. And the restaurant was amazing too. One night I just could not walk anymore, so we thought we were "settling" for a hotel meal. Wrong! Incredible food and the best service. Sadly, I don't remember our server's name, but he was such a great conversationalist. We talked about everything from travel to music!
We wouldn't even consider staying anywhere else if we're ever back in La Coruna unless the Melia Maria is all booked up.
