DOMUS SELECTA HOTEL RESTAURANTE RUA VILLAR

Situated about 100m from the cathedral and with popular restaurants in the adjacent streets, this hotel is ideally placed for your Santiago experience. Reception is occupied 24 hours a day and English is spoken well by helpful staff. It has the feel of a local hostel without the discomfort that goes with it. Rooms are small but functional, beds are comfortable, bathrooms clean and at floor level there's an elevator so that you don't have to drag your luggage up the hotel's winding wooden staircase! There is a lounge area with library and a breakfast room. Breakfast is good and inexpensive. As the hotel is in the old town and there's no vehicular access, you would have to park you car in one of the many underground car parks. The good news is that the hotel has a discount ticket for guests which will reduce your parking costs by 20%.

Excellent hotel steps from the cathedral. The staff were wonderful - extremely friendly and helpful. The room was very comfortable and the AC worked very well (it was pretty hot in Santiago de Compostela when I was there). Finally, the price was very reasonable (I stayed for 4 nights, so I got a long-stay discount). Definitely an excellent choice!

Location is perfect, reception excellent, very good breakfast and the room (number 13) was a pleasure to our eyes with a beautifull balcony to te street and double window to avoid night noises.
