Hostal Stella Del Mare

We travel for the IRONMAN event in September/2023. The hotel is familiar, it is located 4 km from the center, but in a very pleasant area (there are some businesses, cafes and restaurants nearby); The service is very good, the room is spacious, the buffet breakfast included - quite varied -, and by the way the attention is very warm. We had the problem that we could not exchange currency in the city - there are no exchange houses in the city - and they offered to do it; We also had to leave the hotel at 4 am and they left us a breakfast prepared so that we didn't miss the opportunity. The truth is that it is highly recommended.

Stayed 2 nights during Camino walking trip. A little old fashioned or perhaps traditional to be fairer. (Dark decor) BUT absolutely spotlessly clean. Very helpful family with good and efficient welcome. Host spoke in French with us as we had no Spanish. Food was lovely- proper pizza oven-great pizzas and lasagne al forno in authentic dish. Nice atmosphere in restaurant, seemed like popular destination for locals. Breakfast very good-simple but tasty ingredients such as good local bread, huge croissants and fresh fruit. The family obviously work very hard.

This is my second visit to this hostal and I can only thank the family that runs the place with such care and friendliness. The rooms are spacious and perfectly clean, and they serve really good pizzas in the restaurant, home-made for years by Roberto.
