Quick check-in on arrival with friendly and informative reception staff. The weather was very hot during our visit so very relieved that our room had easily adjustable, efficient and quiet AC. However, the in-room fridge is more of a chiller, than a fridge - don’t expect very cold water from it. The complementary water provided by the hotel tastes odd and is slightly carbonated, standard still water would be better. We liked the room and bathroom - shower above bath appears to be standard. We had originally asked for a room with a walk in shower and given a twin-bedded, ‘special needs’ room. We found the bath very slippery though, a non-slip bath mat wasn’t provided - standard safety requirement I would have thought. Bathrobes and slippers can be ordered from reception - I was told it’s part of their green policy to not provide them automatically in guest bedrooms.
Liked that BBC News channel was available on the TV. And a good night’s sleep was had on a lovely, comfortable bed.
The unmanned pool complex could be improved by more/better pool furniture. There aren’t enough sun beds - I counted 10 beds shared between the inside and outside pools, and no tables to put drinks or bags.
Lots of options for breakfast. Athough the restaurant doesn’t have an egg station, egg orders are taken and provided via the kitchen.
It’s around a 20 minute walk from the hotel into the old town, some parts quite steep.
Overall we had a great two night stay at this hotel and would stay again when visiting this lovely city. Happy to recommend.
