Tryp Santiago

A great disappointment, especially considering it is a hotel from the Meliá chain and given its price. To begin with, it is quite far from the historic center of Santiago. Additionally, the rooms leave much to be desired in terms of cleanliness, which is unforgivable for its category. The breakfast buffet was also disappointing: not abundant and with low-quality products. Regarding the reception staff, the service was neither friendly nor close, always maintaining a lot of distance, although I admit they were correct in their manners. It is not worth it for what it costs.

A very comfortable stay in Santiago de Compostela. The hotel has a very convenient location, near El Corte Inglés, with quick access to both the airport and the city center, making it easy to get to any point. The facilities are well-maintained, the staff is attentive, and the rooms are comfortable and quiet. Without a doubt, a highly recommended option for both business trips and enjoying a few days in Santiago.

Given that the main attraction in Santiago de Compostella is the cathedral, the hotel is located approximately 40 minutes walk away. In terms of local restaurants, you are limited to the hotel or the cafe in el Corte Ingles. The hotel is clean and modern with a comprehensive buffet breakfast and nice casual bar with reasonable prices (for a hotel). The room was spacious and clean with a comfortable bed. The bathroom was clean and functional, however it was lacking in some amenities expected of a Melia branded hotel. Equally, I was disappointed there were no coffee/tea making facilities in the room. The room does have excellent sound proofing.
