We have started taking road tripos from the UK to our home in Southern Spain and our devoted dog Daisy now comes on holiday for several weeks with us. In 2005 we discovered the B&B Hotels brand which in our experience always accept dogs and are price reasonably. This saves a huge amount of effort trying to work out the rules some hotels have for dogs - under 10kg? - she is not. This B&B Hotel in the capital of the Basque region was a fabulous stay. The reception staff were most helpful and the room was pre-chilled despite the outside temperatures being over 40 degrees celsius. Underground parking was available for a fee of €15 and the advice from the staff over where to park in the old town - we couldn't do the usual easy 15 minutes walk - was perfect. The room was perfectly well appointed and clean, my only gripe is the dog fees are rather large compared to the €6-7 this chains counterparts in France charge

Clean and cozy place but in the room we lacked towels for one person, amenitis, glasses, and blankets. The common facilities were very well maintained and perfect conditions. Very friendly staff.

The rooms and especially the bathroom need urgent renovation. Bathroom very sloppy and if hardly lit just like the room. Not a glass in the bathroom so you can rinse when cleaning your teeth. And of course not a single courtesy detail. Parking broken down without being able to enter the car and from what you can see it has been quite some time like this. Comfortable bed and good breakfast. Friendly and friendly staff.
