Camping Armanello

A little far out from town, but if you ask at reception you can get a fob for the back gate which makes it easier. It’s a lovely site, well maintained, has a great vibe especially by the bottom pool. There are two pools a restaurant and bar by the top pool, and a bar by the bottom one. We had our little dog and was able to sit with her in the bar area at the bottom pool which meant we were able to swim. We had a pitch for our motorhome. The pitch we were allocated just wasn’t big enough, it wasn’t a problem the reception staff helped us find one that was, despite them being very busy. It is very good value for money, the prices in the bar and restaurant are not over inflated. What really makes the site exceptional is the staff, they go out of their way to help, and the little touches that go a long way, like putting ice in a bowl for our dog. If I had to say one thing to improve, it would be that they offer simple snack food in the bottom bar, maybe sandwiches or rolls etc.

We stayed for 4 nights at the end of August. We booked a mobile home with half board, and we have to say that the restaurant food surprised us in a good way. Very delicious dishes with generous portions. The breakfast was complete and delicious. The waiters were very friendly and attentive! The mobile home was fine, a bit hot at night when it was time to sleep, but okay. If anything, the negative point would be the mattress, quite uncomfortable, but like those at any campsite. The campsite is well located; in a half-hour walk you are at the beach, which for Benidorm is great. If not, there is also a public bus that takes you down to the beach. It is a quiet campsite, at least during the dates we were there, very family-friendly and with a couple of quiet pools to be able to enjoy and cool off.
