The good The hotel is recently renovated (in fact, renovations are still ongoing); the staff is friendly but they do not make things easy for a more pleasant stay (they tell you it is better to take the parking at €14 per day since the main street is a red zone and is paid, but what they do not say is that the side streets have free parking). The not-so-good Food The food is not bad, but it has little variety and you get the feeling of always eating the same thing, not to mention that they charge you €3 per bottle of water which they refill themselves with an osmosis system, which does not come sealed nor is it known if it complies with health protocols. The entertainment leaves a lot to be desired (although the kids try, but I suppose it is the resources they are given). The spa was not in operation, nor was the heated pool, which they do not warn you about in the reservation (it is true that they give you the option to go to another hotel that is a few meters away for €27 per person). Rooms. Very clean, honestly, with welcome gifts. On the other hand, almost every morning they woke us up with noise from the workers at 8 something in the morning, as well as during nap time (it is true that it is not their fault, they have to work, but the most normal thing is for renovations to be done with the hotel closed and to open it with all needs covered). It is not an expensive hotel, but it is not cheap enough to leave with that feeling of not having enjoyed the stay 100%.

We have been trusting the Hotel AR Roca Esmeralda in Calpe for our family vacations for more than 10 years and, once again, the experience has been excellent. We stayed for a week in July and we want to highlight the great change that the renovation has brought about. The new facilities have turned out very well and provide a more modern and comfortable image to the hotel. As always, one of the strong points is its staff. We want to especially thank the treatment received by the entire restaurant team, always attentive and professional; the entertainment team, led by Iván Sousa, who ensures that both children and adults enjoy a fun vacation; and the reception staff, always willing to help with a smile. The new director, Joaquín Sánchez, also deserves a special mention, whose presence and approachability are noticeable from the first day. He is attentive to ensuring that everything works correctly and to effectively solving the small problems that may arise during the stay, something that conveys a lot of peace of mind to the guests. Without a doubt, we will continue to trust this hotel for our vacations and we will return next year. Highly recommended for families looking for an excellent location, good facilities and, above all, exceptional human treatment. See you next summer!

We spent a weekend with half board and it was incredible. The hotel is renovated inside and is super beautiful, new and modern. The rooms are spacious, new, super clean. The food at the buffet is very good, well served, everything is very clean and with a huge variety. The pool is great and there is entertainment all the time and they are super fun. I would highlight the customer service and the amenities as well as the cleanliness. 10/10!
