Villa Universitaria

Excellent experience. I went to accompany my partner who will soon enter university and to my liking chose the university of Alicante in Spain. A very nice place and with an unbeatable treatment. The university of Alicante is undoubtedly a place that leaves us with a pleasant memory in San Vicente del Raspeig, Alicante.

I stayed here for a week on full board. I was given a twin-bedded room, although I was on my own - fantastic! There was a small kitchen that is shared between me and my next-door neighbour, i.e, a kitchen for every two rooms. There's a fridge and a microwave. Unfortunately, there were no cutlery, no crockery, no nothing - absolutely empty. So, neither of us used it really. Apparently, it was because it wasn't the responsibility of the kitchen staff to clean the kitchen if there were unwashed dishes, so that was probably the reason for not leaving anything for the guests to use. Gel, shampoo and towels were provided. I had the room cleaned twice during the time I was there. It was very clean and I have no complaints in that score. The view was nothing to shout about, but I could see trees and part of the campus. And the sunrise. Staff was excellent - reception, cleaning, and dining hall. Food was all right - could be improved. I wish they had served more rice as it was obvious that this was their speciality. The fish tend to be too dry, so avoid it if you can. Salad was unadventurous. Breakfast was rather poor - all drinks from a machine but no tea of any sort. Mind you, there was a café right inside the dining hall, so you can always order your drinks from there. It's a 15-minute walk to the campus; if you walk briskly, you could make it in 9. There's a laundrette and a basic gym with some weights, static bicycles and treadmills. There's also an outdoor pool. For the price, I think it's excellent value but I might have had a special offer, so you decide. Feel free to ask any questions you may have.

Just stayed for one night to be able to work here for a day. Dorm room was clean and comfortable. Cafeteria food wasn't the greatest--glad I am not in college anymore. Very convenient location for us as the workshop was also on campus.
