Casa Rural Los Campos is a beautiful and typical Asturian house situated in the peaceful village of Corao. Its location is perfect for all kinds of tourists, being just outside the Picos de Europa National Park. Cangas de Onís is 6km away, Covadonga 15 minutes away by car and Poncebos, a major gateway for hikers, 30 minutes away. For those travelling by car, there will be no issues, with a big parking space just behind the house, close to the church. Just upon our arrival, the warm welcome by Laura, our hostess, immediately impressed us. From the first moment until we left, Laura and her family made us feel like home. Every morning, they would give us valuable tips about the activities and hikes we were planning to do, such as how to avoid large crowds, where to find the most beautiful viewpoints, and countless others. At night, we would share the details of our hikes, while they would enlighten us with some history of the village and Asturias. We would also pet the delightful family dog, Luna. This special treatment by Laura and her family was definitely one of the most enchanting aspects of our stay, and something you won't find in a hotel. The house itself is charming and very well decorated, in the interior and exterior, with lots of small details. The rooms are cosy and extremely clean, with a pleasant fragrance emanating from the bed sheets and towels. Other aspect to point out is the absolute silence at night. The main road from Cangas de Onís to Arenas de Cabrales doesn't run through the village, which meant that there were no cars to be heard. This silence, the comfort of the bed and the cool temperature provided us with an excellent sleeping experience. Just make sure to bring cash, as credit and debit cards are not accepted as means of payment. If we ever come back to Picos de Europa, this will surely be our place to stay, once again. Big thanks to Laura and her family for everything! It was a delightful experience!
