Hotel Las Cancelas

VERY EXPENSIVE, normal Spaniards, do not come. Almost €5 for a glass of cheap and tacky wine, both white and red, as if we were tourists!!!!

The hotel is located in a classical building carefully decorated and with period furniture in public areas. It is a nice and well kept place. The rooms are renovated and well equipped. No spacious and with spacious bathrooms. Very good shower and very good bed. Where there is a significant room for improvement is breakfast. I am very fond of buffet breakfasts in hotels but this one I think is not up to scratch. I do not recommend that this service be hired.

To begin with it is a hotel that is not adapted for reduced mobilities, even if it is only two floors you need an elevator, we saw elderly people with difficulties to climb the stairs, I want to believe that they would receive help to raise and lower the bags. Lunchtime is what most favors them and they come to fill the hotel’s hall with tables, making it difficult to access the rooms to the point that you can only enter the bar and pass through the dining room; the street fills it with tables and being very narrow makes it practically impossible to move the car from the parking lot. On a personal level the first day we decided to eat there and of course we decided to eat a good chop of Avila "Al Punto" the problem is not that they brought it practically raw is that it was literally cold, as if they had cooked it half an hour ago and when we claimed they took it another time to the grill telling us the waiter that "they did not like to microwave it to heat it" these are textual words. Breakfast is a little scarce and there was only one waiter who had to attend the reception, make the toast, put the coffee and pick up the tables, imagine the chaos with 20 people eating breakfast. And already to finish at least in our room 105 the smell of plumbing was unbearable gave the feeling that the shower had no siphon and smell came out throughout the room.
