Hotel Hacienda Arroyo La Plata

We stayed one night in passing, good choice. The hotel is located in a beautiful setting. The room very clean, new everything, with very comfortable bed, located around a very nice inner courtyard, tastefully decorated. The impeccable care, managed by simple and helpful people. Special attention to their honesty zones, this is that if you feel like having a drink, at any time, they offer this service that you can grab a drink, make yourself a coffee, ,, etc. and you leave the money. We liked the whole truth, we were delighted, we would repeat it without hesitation.

The Hotel is located in a very rural area, it was easy to find, our check in was somewhat difficult, mainly because we had arrived later than expected, due to the lime change. There were no staff when we arrived, there was a number to call, we were given a code to let ourselves in and our key was there waiting for us. We were notified shortly before our visit that the hotel restaurant was closed for staff holidays, there are no cafes or bars in the local community so it was a case of having to drive to the nearby town of Jerez de los Caballeros for food ( very little open especially on a Monday!). There was a honesty bar in the courtyard of the hotel, with beer and various soft drinks. There were some other guests though we never saw them. It felt a bit spooky. It was like the place was closed but they let us stay. The first morning after arriving there was a lady in the reception area. She was very helpful with directions to the city and where the best place to park was. The room was spotlessly clean everything working and in good condition. Our only complaint was the shower door would not close properly with a gap at the bottom so the bathroom floor got wet.

I stayed in this lovely decorated finca amidst a beautiful countryside and peaceful setting with my family for just one day being on a trip around Extremadura. We loved the place from the beginning. Alone the prior telephone assistance for booking given by the owner Mr Javier was very friendly and helpful. The first impression proved to be right once meeting Mr Javier and his wife Soledad (the owners). Extremely helpful and polite. It is a rural setting; some 10-15minutes drive to Jerez. An old Finca, being modernized to good standards to give you best commodity possible. Everything is nicely decorated, with love and attention. Most important: very clean place. The rooms offer every detail you would wish (heating,cooling, TV, Wifi, good beds, nice bathroom (even prepared for handicapped people). All in all, a very pleasant stay and we would have loved to stay more days. We will return definitely and can only recommend this place to all people, seeking for a quiet, tidy place, offering all amenities, combined with family atmosphere. GREAT! KEEP GOING LIKE THIS!
