Hcc Montblanc Hotel

After 6 trips to Barcelona, and staying at various hotels and an Airbnb, we've found THE hotel which we will stay at on all our return visits to Barcelona. The HCC Montblanc is very well located within a short walk of the Gothic Quarter, the Ramblas, Corte Ingles, and Placa Catalunya. It is modern, well-maintained, and very clean. The staff is very friendly and accommodating. Daniel and Marta at the front desk made our stay at the hotel very pleasant. We found the remaining staff to be very helpful also, especially in the restaurant and at the front door. Our room was modern and very comfortable. The amenities in the room equaled any that would be available in a 4 or 5-star hotel. Our room in the back of the hotel had a terrace with a beautiful view over the city. Sitting outside on the terrace, sharing a bottle of Cava, was very relaxing. The hotel's bar area and restaurant are on the ground level. We enjoyed their wonderful breakfast buffet on two of the days of our stay. Anything that you could imagine eating for breakfast was available on that buffet. The dishes were constantly refreshed, and the coffee was excellent. The bar/lounge area is large and comfortable. Within a small radius of the Montblanc, we found many restaurants with varying cuisines. Also, in that area we found supermarkets and clothing stores. The HCC Montblanc offers everything that a traveler could wish for in a short or extended visit to Barcelona.

Very nice hotel, well located, 15 minutes on foot from the port and the beaches. Very nice and good breakfast buffet. Friendly and welcoming staff, especially Zak, who speaks French very well and is always smiling and attentive to the guests.

We have just finished a wonderful four-night stay at the HCC Montblanc Hotel and honestly could not fault a single thing from start to finish. Our room was absolutely huge and beautifully decorated, with lovely wallpaper and a really stylish, modern feel throughout. The king-size bed was incredibly comfortable and the room had everything we could possibly need including a desk area, minibar, large wardrobe space with a safe, a wall-mounted large-screen TV, plus complimentary robes and slippers for the duration of our stay. The bathroom was equally impressive, spacious, spotless and featuring a massive walk-in shower with luxurious large towels refreshed daily. We also loved the thoughtful welcome amenities including toothbrushes, toothpaste, razor, shower cap, tissues, and lovely quality toiletries. The real highlight for us, though was the incredible private rooftop garden terrace. The views across Barcelona were absolutely stunning. The terrace itself was enormous, with quality rattan furniture including chairs, a table and sun loungers and it captured the sunshine all day long. It genuinely felt like a luxury retreat in the middle of the city. We were also greeted with a complimentary bottle of wine and bottled water which was a lovely touch and made us feel so welcome from the moment we arrived. The hotel facilities are excellent throughout with free Wi-Fi everywhere, a fully stocked minibar, a welcoming 24-hour reception team and a lovely downstairs bar and restaurant area with plenty of seating. The breakfast buffet each morning was fantastic with a great selection and everything fresh and well presented. The first-floor pool area was another huge bonus with lots of relaxing seating space and an evening bar atmosphere that was perfect after a day exploring Barcelona. We were especially lucky to experience the Wednesday “Sunset Serenade,” where singers entertained the guests. One of the biggest advantages of this hotel is the location. It is perfectly positioned for exploring Barcelona, with excellent public transport links nearby and many of the city’s main attractions within easy walking distance. It made getting around incredibly simple and added so much convenience to our stay. Everything about this hotel exceeded our expectations. The location is fantastic, the staff were excellent and every detail made our stay feel comfortable, relaxing and luxurious. We would return without hesitation and highly recommend this hotel to anyone visiting Barcelona.
