We recently spent 6 nights at the SB BCN Events hotel as part of a family holiday to incorporate a visit to Barcelona. We picked here as it has good transport links (10 minutes walk to the train for the R2 and R2S and the X95 bus outside the hotel gets you into Place Catalunya in about 30 minutes for €2.90, pay by cash on the bus) as we didn't want to be in the city itself due to the heat in August. The hotel is very close to the airport and plenty of taxis outside to get you there. Very busy hotel and long queue for check in. We had a junior suite and our family had the family apartment for 2 adults and 2 teens. Both rooms were very spacious with a fridge, iron & board, tea/coffee making, plenty of towels provided. Beds are extremely comfortable and we slept very well - I thought that it would be noisy due to the proximity to the road but no issues with windows closed. Air con was not working in one room on arrival but was sorted very quickly by maintenance. The family apartment had a decent living area and dining area, however no plates, glasses or cutlery whatsoever, just 4 mugs with the kettle, we queried this with reception and were told it's not a self catering apartment!! So we went to the Hiper store next door and got some plastic plates and cutlery and managed with those. The fridge in this apartment is also a minibar size fridge and not a full fridge so doesn't hold much. It is also a dark room as there is only 1 window in the whole room. My nephew used the gym every day we were there, good selection of machines but no free weights which he would have liked. We used the pool every day also, plenty of sunbeds as people come and go throughout the day and don't tend to hog them for the whole day. We also got a table tennis set in the Hiper store and played that every day also, we probably could have hired some from the hotel but was only €8 to have our own. The hotel has Burger King and KFC right beside it and the Anec Blau shopping centre with a Mercado and loads of restaurants a couple of minutes walk away. Lidl is a few minutes walk away also. Castelldefels has plenty of cafes and bars, we particularly liked Bomfi and Wolfy's - we had a great night here one night. We did not eat at the hotel at all while we were there, main reason being the inside restaurant and bar were not open at all during our stay - only at breakfast. All dining and drinks were from the pool bar outside and it was too hot to eat outside to be honest. We had drinks on a few nights and all served in plastic glasses, even in the evening to people dining, €7 for a pint in a plastic glass was a bit of a damper. But we enjoyed our stay with the main benefit being the pool.

Complaint Good morning: I would like to express my dissatisfaction with the meal I had last night, Thursday 08/20, at the eSBo Restaurant. I ordered the "Vegan pumpkin raviolone," priced at €15.75. The portion served contained only 6 ravioli, as can be seen in the attached photograph. I perfectly understand that a restaurant is free to set its own portions and prices. However, for a €15.75 dish, this amount seemed especially insufficient to me. In fact, I immediately informed the staff that I was still hungry and asked if it was possible to add a few more ravioli or make some kind of commercial gesture. My request was rejected. They offered to buy me a drink, but that, evidently, did not solve the problem: I was hungry and simply wanted to be able to eat a little more. I consider the way the situation was handled especially disappointing, especially considering that the price of the dish is not exactly insignificant in relation to the amount served. For all these reasons, I request that you reconsider this situation and propose a partial refund of the cost of the dish. In the event that I do not receive a satisfactory response, I will be obligated to file a complaint with the OMIC of Castelldefels and to share my experience, accompanied by the photograph, on review platforms. I ordered their ‘Fish and chips de yuca con salsa de yogur / Yuca fish and chips with yogurt sauce’ this evening. What I got was ok pieces of fish in batter, as you would expect, but the ‘chips’ part, which in any kitchen would stand for some kind of fries - in this case yuca fries - were literally potato type chips (crisps) out of a bought bag. This is not the work of a cook. These chips / crisps at best would be accompanying a beer or a cocktail, for free ! To any cook this is an insult, and so it is to a client. I call this half a main dish, rather than a main dish.
