B Hotel Barcelona

Travelled as a group of 7. Hotel was lovely and clean. Bathroom - • no plug for the bath, we didn't bother asking at reception • to close the blinds there's switches near the bathroom mirror! Not sure why there's no instructions for this. Room - • clean, modern. • balcony very small and the curtain caught at the top once you opened the door. • mini bar very expensive breakfast - • perfect for what we needed, not much in a way of hot food which was fine. Pool - • excellent. Yes lacking in sun loungers but after a day sight seeing a quick dip and a cocktail was all I needed. • shout out to Henri who was an excellent bar tender. • we didn't try food up here but can strongly recommend the pina colada and strawberry daiquiri! The only negative is there is a lot of building work going on around the hotel. This of course isn't their fault but I do think it should be mentioned at book in. I would definitely recommend and would go back!

The location of the hotel is good for public transport as it’s opposite the metro and a train station and shopping centre next door. The hotel has a very relaxed atmosphere - outside can be quite noisy (granted as it’s a city). The room was very clean and modern, with a huge bed and access to streaming services. However there is a very small balcony and shower had blinds that could not be closed so could see straight through. There is a pool on the roof, which was a nice size, it was very clean and well looked after. Alternatively, the pool opened at 10am, there was about 10 sun loungers to accommodate 7 floors so some people were sun bathing on the floor. There is no shaded area and the pool snack bar did not open til 1:30pm and we did not have breakfast included so this did result in us having to go out to get food. Overall, nice hotel but it’s more of a short stay/ business trip type of hotel.

Avoid! You will be asked for a 100 euro deposit on arrival. In our case this was not stated in any of our booking information. When I called the hotel to request this back after it has not been refunded they hung up on me. I would like to point out that we did not use the mini bar and did not give them any reason to withhold this.
