Landing in this beautiful city gives you that romantic pink feeling. So pick a cab and go to feel good plaza apartments. If you can find a cabdriver who knows it, you are lucky you get dropped of in the neighbourhood.
Once dropped near the plaza ( not catalunya) you'll never find this, so ask a waiter they now.
You end up in a small and shadey alley, and you need to call someone.
She gives you the code for the door, and then you'll get the keys.
So the apartment is near the ramblas, 30 sec walk and you're there.
It's a clean apartment and thats all the positive you'll get.
Don't bother for wifi, it's terrible slow if it;s there.
If you really love your spouse this small bed is very ok, if you look for some space, this bed will ruin your holiday.
So try the sleeping couch for a guaranteed hernia or bad sleep.
The shower is not small, it is horrific small, no space.
It's noise in the alley, so no silent nights.
In short, don't go there if you want something romantic, don't expect any service regarding towels or cleaning.
It is cheap though, before a reason

Stayed here for a couple of nights with a friend and had a lovely time. It's in a great location, the apartment is comfortable and most importantly clean. As it is situated off the plaza real you do get some street, so if you're a light sleeper than maybe look somewhere else. Had no issues except for the apartment be slightly cool at night.

I stayed in the apartment in April 2015.
When we got there we called the check in number, we weren't sure if we were even at the apartment, as the enternce is just a graffiti covered door in a side street. We called the number several times and it was engaged, finally after about 30 minutes we got through and the woman on the other end gave us all of the codes.
The room itself was basic. The bed was extremely creaky, every time one of us would roll over in the night it would wake both of us up, the mattress is old and thin too.
The worst bit about the apartment is the noise, it is right next to a busy square and a Cuban bar. It literally sounds like you have all of the windows open and that someone is on your balcony talking, it is that loud. This winds down at about 6am and then the delivery trucks start at 7:30am. Take heavy duty ear plugs, this is coming from a heavy sleeper!
The best bit is the location, close to wonderful restaurants, beautiful buildings and is in the heart of Barcelona. This place would be great if you were deaf, or on a party holiday where you were just going to pass out every night.
I love Barcelona, but I don't love this apartment.
