Hesperia Sport Barcelona

We were prevented to use the SPA and sport facilities that were supposed to be included in our booking. The hotel have unclear polices about that. At the check in they told us we had full access during our stay, but later on while entering the SPA they told us we could only enter until 2 PM that day. It didn't make any sense since the check in time for the hotel is 4 PM, and we only had an overnight stay. The concierge (a different one from the check in) could't solve the situation and said it's not the first time that this issues happen, but he couldn't do anything other than giving me an email for a complaint. I offered to pay for the entrance to the SPA but he told me that only a limited number of guests per day are allowed in the SPA (and the hotel is supposed to be a SPA hotel), so I couldn't enter even with a surcharge. Our plans for the day in Barcelona were completely ruined by this. I wrote a complaint that never received a reply from the hotel staff.

Together wth few of our Travelgroup,we did choose this Hotel (managed by "Hesperia" Hotel Group) for our long Weekend in Barcelona and we did enjoyed our Visit there very much. There was a friendly Employee at reception and they all did made a very nice and customerfriendly Service to the guests there. Wealso enjoyesthe large Breakfast Service on both Days and it was very good. We will come there again.

Few of our spain Friends went there already and so we did followed their Advice and booked this Hesperia for our Weekendtrip to Barcelona. It a medium sized very new Hotel. One good Thing was there also, that the "Metro" Station was not far away, with good Connections to the Center. Other good Thing was the nice and stylish Design from the Room. Room was also very clean. We can not say anything about Breakfast, because we sleeped until 10:00. But Coffee was good there!
