Unbelievable! That's the only thing that comes to mind when it comes to this hotel. After I had clearly indicated at the reception what was not right about the room, only a part was picked up: hair under the sheets, hair in the small fridge, water in the shower that did not run through, holes in the curtains, a wooden door that crumbled, silverfish everywhere because of the humidity. I emailed the owner for a fair refund, who kept insisting that everything was picked up immediately, while the videos and photos were clearly from another day. In the end only garage money got back, shame! Don't get me wrong but even basic stuff wasn't there. Sad and never again!

If you don't care for the Rambla chaos, this place is for you. It's a cute, small hotel in one of the nicest parts of the city (off the Bonanova Blvd); quiet leafy streets with small businesses and coffee shops, and right on the route of Bus Turistic. The room was small, but clean, with comfortable beds and a large bathroom. What made it stand out were the front desk people - helpful and lovely, Andrea who checked us in and a night shift receptionist whose name I don't know. When he found out one of us just came back from celebrating our birthday he ran to the back room and came back with a bottle of cava and two champagne glasses, what a sweet gesture! He also always remembered that we needed extra coffee for the morning so had it ready when we would return every night. Really touching. It is off the beaten path but if you are ok with walking, the downtown is a nice stroll down the hill. Super safe area.

Our room was very somber and nothing as nice as the photos in Booking. It's October but still 24' in Barcelona and therefore quite hot in the room. Turned on the Aircon but only got heating, which according to Reception is normal in October. Sleeping with the windows open in a noisy city and on the 1st floor is not an option, so we had 2 sleepless nights.
