If the hotel alone (in a different location) was scored, I’d give it 4 stars. Good value for money, clean and had facilities to store luggage as well as have a wash and get changed once you’re checked out. We used this and were grateful in the heat as allowed us a change before flight home. Staff were friendly and responsive, also locked the front doors after a certain time, earlier than we expected. However, location wasn’t fantastic. It was easy to access by bus from the airport via placa de catalunya stop, but was a long walk from areas such as the mercat boquiera and sagrada. We did walk back from La rambla which was doable as two fit females, but not for everyone in the heat. The main issue was that the area did not feel safe at night. We were two female travellers mid 20s and also very streetwise as emergency service workers - yet still felt on edge. The area was largely populated at night by men, also not greatly lit and further out that central. It impacted how long we felt we could stay out for in the evenings. El Raval as a whole felt like this. Overall I wouldn’t go back here with girlfriends, I’d potentially consider with my partner or family but I’d look at other locations first.

I highlight Iyaib's reception or something. The Argentina girl also, all very friendly, welcomed us with a bottle of water and when we left they gave us a treat. The rooms are small, but after we settled we were getting ready, clean, near Plaza Catalunya. We could also have complimentary coffee in the afternoons. Good WiFi.

Excellent small hotel in a great area for letting cap sights. Walking distance from metro and airport bus. Staff were excellent. Breakfast was good for 12 euros
