Ally's Guest House Barcelona

We stayed for 6 nights as a family, the room for 4 was very spacious, the bathroom perfectly clean, with everything necessary. (Hair dryer, iron available). The breakfast was very good and included in the price! The towels were impeccable. The girls were very kind and always available. Good Wi-Fi and best of all: Excellent LOCATION, better than expected! It's a great find!

Absolutely disappointing experience. We stayed here from Friday to Monday, and unfortunately, almost everything about our stay was poor. The room was not properly cleaned even once during our entire stay. Towels were not changed for three days, and we were told this was because there was makeup on them. The bed linen was not changed either. The only thing staff seemed to do was empty the rubbish bin. There was dust, dirt and debris all over the room. For a hotel, the level of cleanliness was completely unacceptable. The staff were also extremely unfriendly and unhelpful. There was no proper welcome, no explanation when we arrived, and barely any basic customer service. We were left standing around trying to figure out where to go and how to enter the hotel. We also had a very strange experience with the city tax. We were initially told that it had to be paid in cash. When we said we had no cash, we were told to come back the next day. When we returned, suddenly a card machine was available. Very strange and unprofessional. Breakfast was also very disappointing and definitely not worth what we expected from a hotel. Overall, this was one of the most unpleasant hotel experiences we have had. Poor cleanliness, unfriendly staff, disappointing breakfast and terrible customer service. Unfortunately, we would not recommend this hotel at all and would definitely stay somewhere else next time we visit Barcelona.

Fantastic location in Eixample — walk to La Pedrera and Passeig de Gràcia, easy metro to everything else. Friendly, helpful staff, clean rooms, and a good breakfast. Charming homey atmosphere. Not a big hotel, but that’s the point. Excellent stay. 5/5.
