Apartamentos Vila Universitaria

The Vila 2 is nicely situated in a green oasis inside UAB campus. If you come to study or work at UAB for few months, it is a nice choice and comparable as price with what you get in Cerdanyola or other nearby cities (for more than one year you probably find cheaper choices however). My friends also used it as a hotel, and they have also liked it. It's clean (once a weak cleaning service), close to a train station that connects you to Barcelona downtown (however the whole trip takes more than 45 minutes and it's couple of Euros one way) and it has the advantage to be in the middle of nature. Collserola park is easily accessible either by bus (A3) or by train (from Bellaterra station) and in there you have plenty of hiking trails in a wonderful landscape. Not far away is also Sant Cugat, a posh town with couple of poney/horse riding schools that can be interesting when traveling with young ones. By car, the nearest beach is at 35 minutes drive (Montgat); it's a beach less crowded than those in Barcelona city or south of Barcelona. The apartment is furnitured at minimum (no oven, just microwave), but it is practical for stays of few weeks to few months. I would say that they offer exactly what they promise on their site.

I stayed there for 2 months, during my studies in UAB, my contract was actually for 3 months, but I left it earlier because i just couldn't live there anymore. The apartment was clean, small and overpriced for what it is, and specially, for WHERE it is. The main problem for me is: distance. Is VERY FAR from Barcelona city center, in fact, you will not be in Barcelona, you will be in Bellaterra. Other important point is the price. They say the rent will be rent + costs, but costs sum up to 100 euros - which is an absurd! - and they just withdraw from your account! Everybody I know that lived there was pretty pissed off by the costs, how much they charged, that they never sent us the bill or any written document You can find better place and better location for a better price. DO NOT STAY IN VILA.
