Apartment Balmes

I got a room with two twins and a shared bathroom, I was lucky in mid May, I heard someone come in late, but essentially never saw anyone and had the bathroom to myself. I would definitely do this again, there was a clean kitchen area, it was very centrally located. I thought the price was a bit high— $130–considering it was a shared bath, but I guess that’s the price in Barcelona city center!

In the center of Barcelona! One long block away from Plaza Catalunya where hop on tours start. I was with my elderly parents and almost cancelled because I booked a shared bath but Nicole accommodated our needs personally. I’m glad I didn’t because the room and the entire place was clean, comfortable and safe. Kitchen was fully stocked and even had a space for in the fridge just for us to use. There was some noise from the outside but they provided ear plugs and honesty I was not bothered Since we were tired from sightseeing. The bed was comfortable and the bathroom was the biggest we had in all of our stay in Europe. Restaurants,cafe & shopping all around the area. Very Instagramable Balcony was a plus! In short, great place & location! Book it.

The location was great. Plaza Catalunya is 300 m away, which is where the airport shuttle drops off and picks up passengers for €6 per person, and comes every 5 minutes. There’s also a metro station in Plaza Catalunya. There’s another metro station at Universitat which is 100 m from the hotel. carrefour grocery store is about a 500m walk from the hotel. Very well-stocked supermarket Carrefour. The kitchen in the apartment hotel was very well stocked as well. The living area and dining rooms were spacious and well furnished. The bedroom was well appointed as well with a balcony and central air conditioning. Disliked · Despite texting the staff the previous night and from the airport car rental that morning , nobody was waiting for us downstairs. A whole hour was wasted from 11 AM to noon. We had to wait for an hour and request a couple of locals to make a call to get the agent (Christopher) to show up to check us in. At the end of our stay, we have to store our bags at the nearby locker – locker Barcelona for €14.
