Atenea Port Barcelona Mataro

Today, I went to the establishment to ask at the reception if it was possible to access the pool without being a guest at the hotel. The receptionist informed me that it was not possible, to which I responded, "Okay," and accepted the information without any problem. Later, I went down to the lower area of the establishment intending to have a drink, at which point the same worker followed me and said verbatim: "You have to consult anything; I cannot sneak in." I believe this comment was inappropriate, unnecessary, and made in an accusatory manner, as I never attempted to access the pool or "sneak in" to any facility. It made me feel uncomfortable and treated with distrust for no reason.

Beautiful domain on the beautiful harbor.friendly welcome, nice neat room, everything there and a view of the beautiful boats. Outdoor pool available, also a bar outside.we had it all our own way.1/2 hour from Barcelona.

I am a flight attendant and have stayed in many hotels. This is my first review I have ever written. My need to write it because the service was so bad, makes me really want to write more reviews to acknowledge GOOD service. I do not need much to be satisfied. I can put up with making me pay for each in room coffee pod beyond the first two, or getting one pool/beach towel every four days, or maybe the worst and most dangerous gym I have ever experienced. I could put up with all of this if the staff didn’t seem like they were intentionally trying to make me never want to return. The kindest people here have been house keeping and ONE of the people at the front desk. When you walk in during the morning and there is no one in the lobby, the minimum I would expect is a smile, but no, no smile, no hola, no bon dia, no como esta, instead a non smiling face of judgement. Again I am not an entitled rude person. I wait to be called upon before graciously saying “excuse me, sorry for disturbing you, but can you help me with…..” If the front desk is not there to help me at a hotel, I don’t know who is. The front desk here could REALLY learn a lot from housekeeping on how to act in the hospitality industry, to be kind, gracious, and courteous. Thank you to the housekeepers, or I don’t think I could stand staying here for three more nights.
