Barcelona Colonial

Enjoyed the Hotel Colonial for its excellent location. Not far from beach, port. In the Gothic quarter. Clean comfatable hotel. Breakfast was ok. Only issue was hot food became cold very quickly as no hot plates. But plenty of other options. Had a room overlooking the street which we asked for. Only issue was it was very noisy. Could do with triple glazing windows. But we kind of got used to it. If need a peacefull nights sleep would suggest to ask for a inner room. Very nice bar. Enjoyed the complimentary drinks. Overall good choice for couples.

Beautiful hotel in the middle of the Gothic Quarter of Barcelona. Upon our arrival, an unexpected update awaited us as a surprise: We got a room on the 6th floor with a large terrace. A great view of the quarter from above. Plus 2 vouchers for Cava at the bar. Can a vacation start any better? The room was spacious, with a coffee bar, safe, refrigerator, air conditioning, and a large bathroom. It was very well-maintained and clean. Perhaps already partially slightly worn (calcified fixtures, for example). The breakfast was really delicious with all the trimmings that a continental breakfast includes. If you want, you can get wasted on sparkling wine in the morning🤪 The bar is also very nice. The bartender is attentive and friendly. The prices are moderate. The staff in general is very nice and helpful. In the lobby, there is a vending machine with cold drinks and snacks. And, as I said, a great location by the harbor. A 20-minute walk to Placa Catalunya. Great connections with taxis. It doesn't get any better than this.

Great location! And the highlight was breakfast. The buffet was amazing! Beautiful broad selection of food. Room was a little small. And the shower a bit puzzling to work. But reception staff were really helpful. We would stay here again.
