Blanc Guesthouse

A 4-night stay very disturbed by the noise. Starting at 11 PM, the restaurant below turns into a nightclub: very loud bass, vibrations, heel noises... impossible to sleep. The problem is known to the guest house, which even provides earplugs! However, there is no real solution. The restaurant is open 7 days a week, so no respite. After a complaint, the volume was lowered a bit, making the last 2 nights slightly more bearable, but far from acceptable. To be avoided if you are looking for peace and quiet.

2-star hotel with reasonably priced rooms and good breakfast. I rated it as Good and not as excellent for two problems detected during the stay, the first related to noise in the area as it is full of nightclubs and the rooms are not adequately soundproofed but the hotel provides free earplugs in the welcome kit. The second problem is related to the number of places available for breakfast, on the first day (Monday) we could not sit down. In our case there was an en suite bathroom, but some do not have a private bathroom but use an external bathroom shared with other guests so I recommend checking well before booking. The location is very convenient and allows you to reach the houses of Gaudi, La Rambla, Diagonal and Casa Sear by walking. There are two metro stations, both about a 10-minute walk away.
