Let’s start with a positive. Very friendly and supportive reception staff; special call out to Julia. 👍 However , it stops there . On the down side . There’s no bar or restaurant open on Sunday . (We were handed a takeaway menu that delivers to the hotel.) Quite peculiar and very unusual, especially for a four-star hotel. Also, there’s no tea and coffee facilities in the room, and to top it off, the room can be noisy . The nearby railway gets busy early. Had to dig out the earplugs. I suggest you request a room on the campus side. It might be quieter, but less noise is not guaranteed. Overall . Much it’s more like any budget hotel . Nothing special.

There were some good and some bad, but one of those is more defining than any of the others Rooms were clean and tidy, beds were comfortable but the rooms lacked some basics like an iron or a kettle. Additionally the phone in the room didnt work so when i wanted to confirm the check out tine, I had to search for it online. There is nowhere to get a hot drink if you need one in the evening, there is a vending machine with snacks that charges you 19 euros and then deducts from that anything you take before refunding. Ridiculous and overpriced, especially later when the supermarket is closed. Staff are helpful and friendly. Breakfast was a good point, plenty of hot and cold choices at the buffet. Coffee was terrible. Location was ok, Bellaterra station is a 5-10min walk away and takes you into the main city in 30mins, no issues there. Outside the station is a local bakery where you can pick up a lovely coffee and fresh baguettes for less than 6 euros... Checkout time is 12, also a good plus point. When it comes to hotels and reviews, I place huge importance on two basics, cleanliness and quality of sleep, the ratings then go up from there. Where this hotel falls down quite seriously is on sleep quality. There were no students and no activity barring a conference event on Sat evening. We were on the 1st floor and woken up continuously either by: 1. Chairs or beds scraping above or beside us in other rooms 2. People going across the corridors (you can hear everything) 3. The cleaners in the morning are REALLY loud both in work and conversation. You will eventually get to sleep, but once the cleaners are on the floor in the morning, you're waking up whether you like it or not. You can fall down on all the good points above, and you can be an average 3* hotel. But if you can't sleep well, the very basic of a hotel offering, then the rest is pointless. The worst thing about it is, I do no think it can be fixed. Because of that, it just didn’t hold up to a 4* hotel standard. It doesn't hold up for a 3* either..

Services are not available after breakfast only the bar;staff fighting with loud noises:horrible water when present as hot water is not always working;during blackout there was no support not even water or supplies;water is not clean and rusty.
