Central Station Hostel Barcelona

This hostel is in the centre if Barcelona just off the Ramblas. Our room was on the streetside a very noisy street. Also a lot of noise from the neighbouring rooms and lots if slamming of doors.So if you are a light sleeper you will not like this. The building is old and not very well maintained. The rooms have no bathroom. You need to use the common bathrooms which are dirty. If you are a camper type you may get along with it but if you want a bit of hygiene do not go there. The wifi is ok. Television did not work at all. It us not a pleasant place to stay. Luckily i had only one night. This place is attractive because of low price and center location. That is where it stops. I am sure there are other places in this price category that score better.

I am absolutely shocked at this hostel which would turn off a shipwrecked migrant and actually is costing me $170/day for a bunk bed in a room the size of a closet. The bathroom is filthy and the man at the front desk asked me for 5 Euros in "tax" eventhough I had already paid all taxes through expedia. This is a den of criminals and not, under any circumstances, to be used by any, but the most desperate of people. I would actually rather sleep on the streets. This place needs to be reported to the authorities for the dishonest character of the man who runs the front desk -- a fellow named "Jassim" who asked for he false "tax" payment.

dont stay there its a nightmare.The rooms are horrible. totally dirty and creepy. it is also expensive and very loud at night. the shower was so dirty that my child refused to go in there. even in front of the hostal are really strange people
