My sister and I stayed here two nights out of the 4 I booked. I paid more for the 4 nights at this apartment than I had paid total for any of the rest of the hotels I stayed in on my two week vactaion to Europe. I can say on a positive note that the lady who brought us to the apartment, I think her name was Anna, was very very nice and helpful.
We got to the apartment and it was freezing cold. The heaters are a heater unit on rollers and a small heating unit on the wall near the ceiling. We cranked it the whole time we were there and still had to wear socks and shoes. The apartment had no windows and so you felt not only out of touch with the rest of the world, but it was just like being in a box the whole time. You could totally hear the neighbors on each side of you as well as up above. Teh bathroom was tiny tiny and so was the kitchen. We were able to catch the bus easily from one block away, then visit parc Guell as well, which was nice. There were less than 5 restaurants within as many blocks, although a few grocery stores where we were able to get groceries. I can say the neighborhood is somewhat safe compared to more near the Las Ramblas, where on the second day I got my necklace ripped right off my neck in broad daylight!! It didn't seem to help that store owners and restaurant staff were rude. We ended up leaving the Dirsa and getting a room elsewhere. The placwe was clean however but had a smell to it.
